Bedras is the capital world of the Bedran Marches. It is named after the Palatine Lord Bedras. Originally, Bedras lifeless and dusty world named Kubat, Bedras was painstakingly terraformed by the early Bedran into a garden planet after the coronation of the Palatine and the founding of the Bedran Empire. Great archaic machines preserve the planet and prevent it from slipping back into lifelessness. Despite the supreme importance of the world, the surface is sparsely inhabited. The planet is considered holy and setting foot on its surface is forbidden without the permission of the Imperial House. The majority of the planet's population lives within colossal orbital plates suspended thousands of miles above the planet's surface. The only major loci on the planet itself are the Imperial Palace and scattered military and terraforming installations.
