Kovat, renamed by the Metallus and known to them as Forjus, is one of The Metallus' centermost planets, though was their last properly conquered planet in galactic history. The War of Kovat was one of the most significant combat fronts in recent galactic history and the last major offensive The Metallus would fight in before their recognition as a galactic power.
In modern times, Kovat is used as The Metallus' primary planet for mass production of raw materials, metals and alloys. Kovat is vitally important to their war efforts, being responsible for efficiently and cheaply forging extremely durable arms and armor, as well as the hulls for their dropships and deconstruction of acquired enemy materials. It was formerly controlled by a smaller raider faction, the Juggerlords, who were assimilated into The Metallus upon taking Kovat.
