Tharyn

Tharyn is the most populous world in the Bedran Marches and capital of the Duchy of Tharyn. With a population of 2,000,000,000,000 (two trillion), Tharyn is home to .2% of the population of the Bedran Marches. Tharyn is an ecumenopolis, a world-city stretching from the planet's surface into a dense layer of arcologies and continental city-plates that extend over ten kilometers into the atmosphere. The Bedran did not build Tharyn. The planet was already an urban sprawl upon its discovery millennia ago. The planet was sequentially built over in waves of colonization by several interstellar civilizations stretching back at least 100,000 years. The Bedran are simply the latest to inhabit the world. Due to its size, Tharyn is the commercial heart of the Marches. Billions of tons of domestic and exotic products pass through its starports every single day.
