The Wire Wraith is a common light infantry enemy of the Worr Machine, being a Naga-like menace composed of metallic wiring and components that weave intricately into one another to form a network controlled by a psionic mechanism using a gel-like paste housed in glowing blue sacks in its head and crown. It uses is psionic power to create "psionic bolts", projectiles to fire at its enemies. These psionic bolts are unique in that they are still linked not only to the Wire Wraith that created them, but to any Wire Wraiths in range of the psionic bolt to pick up on it. It's unknown how, but the psionic bolt meeting a target creates an energy frequency all Wire Wraiths in range can feed upon, which repairs and fuels them, indicated by a strange, metallic howling they give off when energized by a successful strike. In short; any time a Wire Wraith hits a target, enemy or otherwise, with their projectile, they can be healed by it.
Wire Waiths, being colony-based creatures, seem to have the most camaraderie of any of the ranks of the Worr Machine, and are the only ones of their type who will not infight with one another (though they may infight with other ranks). While this may seem like a bad thing, it's rather fortuitous, considering if Wire Wraiths attempted to attack one another, they would just enter an infinite chain of energy production.
